Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse Location: Not Specified. This role involves providing high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced ER setting. The nurse will manage a variety of trauma, stroke, STEMI, and pediatric cases, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Job Details

• Position Description: Emergency Room (ER) nursing within an acute care setting, focusing on trauma, stroke, STEMI cases, and pediatric patients. The department features 32 beds, 6 treatment chairs, and a designated psych/seclusion area, with a high patient volume.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications include Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), with Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of ER experience, relevant licenses, and the ability to work 12-hour night shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., totaling at least 36 hours per week.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Cerner electronic medical record system, trauma level 3 certification, and prior travel ER experience are advantageous.
• Additional Information: ER staff includes physicians, midlevels, ER techs, patient sitters, and security personnel. Staff must interpret electronic monitoring strips, and candidates must be comfortable floating within the department as needed. Candidates must have at least 2 years of ER experience and be able to work every other weekend and rotating holidays.
