This role involves providing high-quality nursing care on a 29-bed step-down/med-surg unit. The position requires handling a diverse patient population with mainly medical diagnoses, including managing titrated drips and utilizing EPIC electronic health record systems. The role is ideal for both new and experienced nurses committed to patient-centered care.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, days, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Flexibility for weekends and holidays as scheduled.
• Required Qualifications: BLS (American Heart Association certification); minimum experience required: 1 year; location requirements: valid RN license; and experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Responsibilities include caring for patients with medical diagnoses, managing titrated drips such as Heparin, insulin, anti-hypertensives, antiarrhythmics, phenobarbitol, ketamine, morphine/dilaudid/fentanyl PCAs, TPN, and participating in unit-specific patient care activities.
• Additional Information: Candidates must be capable of handling 6 med-surg patients or 3 step-down patients, float to other units as needed, and work with a team including charge RNs, house supervisors, nurse aides (Clinical Associates), and telemetry techs.
