Job Summary
The Surgical Technician / Operating Room Technician specializing in Operating Room (ORT) is based in the healthcare facility. This role involves delivering care to surgical patients, supporting the efficient operation of the Surgery Department, and instructing medical staff and students. The position also includes responsibilities related to sterilization and proper handling of surgical instruments and equipment.

Job Details

• Position Description: Responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of surgical instruments and equipment, maintaining sterile technique, assisting during surgeries, and supporting the surgical team.
• Required Qualifications: Successful graduation from a Surgical Technologist training program or a minimum of one year of experience in operating room scrub nursing; current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; knowledge of medical asepsis and instrument handling; ability to work with tedious tasks and tolerate blood/body tissue sight and exposure; willingness to work different shifts, take call, and work weekends.
• Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The role includes assisting with surgical procedures, maintaining sterile environments, organizing supplies, and ensuring proper sterilization of equipment. Employee participation in ongoing training and departmental meetings is encouraged.
