Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse - Location: Not specified. This role involves providing urgent care in a high-volume emergency department. The position requires skilled assessment and intervention for diverse patient populations, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics, with a focus on critical condition management.

Job Details

Certifications: Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) are required.
Education Requirements: Active New York License.
Experience Requirements: Up to date resume that includes 2+ years of experience in Emergency Department with some Pediatric experience and documentation of travel experience is required. Travel experience is mandatory.
Location Requirements: Must live 75 miles away from the facility for travel; local candidates (less than 75 miles) are accepted at a local rate.
Schedule: Nights shift from 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Additional information: The ED generally handles common diagnoses such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. The unit is equipped with rapid infusor and Arctic Sun devices, and patients range from newborns to geriatrics. The unit has 64 beds, including triage, acute, super track, trauma, clinical decision unit, and psych beds. Nurses are expected to provide comprehensive care, including to SANE patients, with high charge capability preferred.
Submission Requirements: Must include a RTO (Request for Time Off) at the time of submission. EMR experience with EPIC is required. Scrub color: Navy Blue. Floating requirements apply.
