Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit Medical (ICU MEDICAL) Alexandria, Louisiana. This position involves providing specialized critical care to COVID-19 patients in a Level II Trauma Center with various advanced equipment and procedures. The role requires a compassionate, team-oriented healthcare professional committed to excellence in patient care.

Job Details

• Position Description: Responsible for delivering comprehensive ICU care, including ventilator management, critical care drips, and procedures like intubations, cardioversions, ventriculostomy drain management, and proning of patients.
• Required Qualifications: Must be willing to care for COVID-19 patients, ICU experience, positive attitude, flexibility, teamwork, desire for excellence, self-motivated, good communication and people skills, ability to work in a diverse environment. Certifications: ACLS and BLS; TNCC a plus. Education/Experience: No minimum years of experience required, valid licensure as an RN.
• Preferred Qualifications: Advanced skills in ventilator management, assessment skills, and proficient knowledge of cardiac, neuro, and respiratory systems.
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: All nursing staff may float to other Medical-Surgical Units as needed, with priority to ICU units. The unit utilizes Meditech electronic documentation and emphasizes hourly rounding, bedside hand-off reporting, and compassionate, patient-centered communication.
