Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse in the local healthcare organization. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards. The position emphasizes delivering high-quality, patient-centered care within a dynamic clinical environment.

Job Details

• Position requires a current, valid RN license in the state of practice, with BLS certification. Additional certification or continuing education may be necessary based on the area of practice.
• Experience in an acute care hospital setting is preferred, with a minimum of one year of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in a similar environment, particularly within the past 12 months.
• Responsibilities include assessing patient needs across physical, psychological, social, spiritual, developmental, educational, and cultural domains, reviewing patient history and diagnostics, and completing assessments and reassessments as needed.
• Develops and revises care plans based on assessment data and patient progress, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team and involving patients and families in care planning.
• Implements the care plan through direct patient care, delegation, and supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory standards.
• Evaluates patient responses and adjusts care and teaching strategies to meet goals.
• Documents all aspects of patient care, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to policies.
• Provides support in research activities and participates in unit or facility shared leadership.
• Interacts with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, families, and external contacts concerning patient care and discharge planning.
• May supervise staff and work flow in the department as needed.
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Candidates may be required to float to a sister site depending on census and staffing needs.
