Description
Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care within a busy facility that manages a wide range of patient cases, including stroke, hemorrhagic stroke, and pediatric emergencies. The role requires thorough documentation skills and adherence to federal and institutional protocols.
Job Details:
- Certification, Education, and Experience: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications; minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency nursing required.
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, including 2 weekends every 4 weeks and holidays as needed.
- Additional Information: Must have Cerner Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience, with the ability to test out of Cerner training if experienced. This ER handles approximately 210 patients daily, operates with a ratio of 1 nurse to 4 patients, and requires strong documentation skills. Float rotation is not required outside the ER.
- Operational details include staffing with ER techs, in-house hospitalists or intensivists, continuous pharmacy and Omnicell access, and a focus on stroke-certified patient care.
