Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) Step Down Unit Missouri. This position involves providing compassionate and specialized care for patients in a 22-bed step down unit within an acute care setting. The role requires managing patients with complex needs, ensuring safety, and collaborating with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality care.

Job Details

• Position Description: Step Down Unit RN responsible for delivering critical care to patients with varying acuity levels, supporting the transition from intensive care or general wards as appropriate. The unit maintains a 4 to 1 patient-to-nurse ratio, supported by patient care techs and health unit coordinators.
• Required Qualifications: Current registered nurse license in Missouri; minimum of 2 years of acute step down or critical care experience; certifications including BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale).
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, starting from 10/12/2026 through 01/11/2027.
• Additional Information: Experience in acute care settings preferred; charting is completed via MEDITECH electronic health record system; orientation and training will be provided as needed.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
