Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) Location: Not specified. This role involves providing comprehensive labor, postpartum, and neonatal care within a Level II nursery setting. The nurse will be responsible for supporting mothers and newborns through labor, delivery, and postpartum phases, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for patients and their families.

Job Details:

• Position Description: The unit is a 10-bed Labor, Delivery, Postpartum (LDRP) unit with a Level II nursery and an operating suite. The RN must be competent in labor and delivery, postpartum, and nursery care, with primary emphasis on experienced Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Required Qualifications: Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). No specific education or degree requirements are listed, but a minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery is required.
• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, with 3 shifts per week. The schedule may include every other weekend, with the possibility of shift cancellations at will.
• Additional Information: The role requires experience and comfort with both mother and baby care in a birth center environment, including managing labor, postpartum, and nursery duties. The facility uses the MEDITECH charting system.
