Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse in a healthcare facility located in the healthcare providers region. This position involves providing comprehensive patient care to a diverse adult and geriatric patient population, primarily focusing on those with neurological and stroke-related conditions. The role supports early recognition of patient condition changes through telemetry and pulse oximetry monitoring.

Job Details

Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: BLS, NIHSS certifications; diploma, associate degree or higher in nursing; valid state or compact license; 0 years of experience or more.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with blood product administration, chest tubes, CVA, neurosurgery, and telemetry units; certification or experience in stroke or neurological care preferred.
Responsibilities include: Providing advanced patient assessment, monitoring neurological status, managing medical-surgical patients, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.
Certifications: BLS, NIHSS required.
Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, at least 36 hours weekly.
Submission Requirements: Current license in hand, on-time submission, and completion of onboarding modules within 48 hours of contract signing.
Additional Information: Support services include physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation, and rapid response teams. The unit specializes in neurological and stroke-related diagnoses, equipped with telemetry and pulse oximetry.
