Job Summary
A Step Down Unit Registered Nurse (RN) is needed in an acute care setting located on the ten tower unit of a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized nursing care for patients requiring close monitoring and treatment on a neuro stepdown and acute care unit. The position offers an opportunity to work with advanced equipment and technology, contributing to positive patient outcomes in a dynamic environment.
Job Details
- Location: Ten Tower, Main Building
- Position Description: Step Down Unit RN with strong acute care nursing skills and experience in neuro stepdown.
- Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice as an RN; BLS certificate for Acute Care; ACLS certification for Neuro Stepdown; no minimum experience required, but strong critical thinking skills and acute care competency are essential.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Experience nurses can float after orientation. Must have the ability to perform procedures such as lumbar puncture and chest tube placement.
- Certifications: BLS for Acute Care, BLS and ACLS for Neuro Stepdown.
- Dress Code: Black, any shade of blue or grey scrubs, or any color scrubs on Fridays.
- Unit Policies: Please review unit-specific policies and guidelines.
- Awards/Recognition: ICARE recognition, shout out board, and employee of the month.
- Comments: This unit is an excellent starting point for those interested in transitioning to ICU, with updated equipment and experienced staff.
