Description

Job Summary
Medical Surgical Oncology Floor Nurse (MS ONC) located at the healthcare organization. This position involves providing specialized nursing care for oncology patients within a busy surgical unit. The role supports patient education, complex wound care, and post-operative management, with a focus on delivering high-level patient-centered care.

Job Details

Certifications: BLS, California RN license, BSN required; previous travel assignment required (does not accept first-time travelers); at least 2 years of RN experience required.
Schedule: Rotating shift (Day/Night) with 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: California Registered Nurse license, BSN degree, BLS certification, minimum of 2 years of RN experience, previous travel assignment, and experience in charge, patient ratio, and charting systems.
Responsibilities include managing complex wound care, ostomy care, tracheotomy care, patient education, and performing post-op pain management modalities such as epidurals and PCA.
Special Procedures/Unit Details: The unit cares for adult and geriatric patients with surgical and oncological diagnoses, including urological, gynecological, colorectal, orthopedic, breast, head and neck, liver, and pancreatic diseases, providing complex wound, ostomy, and tracheotomy care.
Additional Information: Float to other UCSF facilities may be required within a 75+ mile radius. All RTO (Requested Time Off) must be disclosed at time of offer and approved by the manager.
Clearance and documentation requirements: At least 2 references from most recent employer, module completion as specified, and submission of all travel and employment history details.
