Job Summary
Pediatric Intermediate Care (PEDS IMCU) Nurse in the area is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in a 26-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and a 13-bed Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). The position involves managing children with diagnoses such as respiratory distress, ECMO, post arrest, trauma, neurology, and surgical post-ops, among others, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team including residents, fellows, and attending physicians.

Job Details

• Position Description: Pediatric Intermediate Care Nurse for a unit caring for children with critical needs, requiring recent experience with EPIC electronic medical records and travel experience preferred. Two years of clinical experience in Pediatric Intensive Care is required for PICU, with IMCU candidates also needing some PICU experience due to floating requirements.
• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: No minimum experience is required, but 2-5 years of clinical experience in the specialty is preferred.
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Additional Responsibilities: Managing ventilators, collaborating with advanced practice providers, following ACH dress code, and adhering to patient visitation policies.
• Responsibilities: Care for pediatric patients with complex diagnoses including respiratory issues, ECMO, trauma, and post-operative care; participate in a 2-3 day orientation; float to other units as necessary; support family visitation and patient education.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must be dependable, follow the units schedule, and meet all the stipulated clinical requirements.
