Job Summary
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) specialist to provide surgical support at a tertiary care center. The role involves assisting with cardiovascular operating procedures, ensuring sterile environments, and coordinating supplies and equipment for optimal surgical outcomes.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: 5+ years of CVOR experience required; open heart experience required; current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required; active NBSTSA certification required; work history skills checklist pertinent to the specialty (CVOR) required; minimum of 0 years of experience required.
• Schedule: Day shift, 10-hour shifts, minimum 40 hours per week.
• Additional Responsibilities: Demonstrate knowledge of surgical procedures, problem-solve related to procedures, and verify items on physician preference cards. Assure all supplies, equipment, and instruments are correctly assembled and in working condition. Maintain sterile fields and monitor for breaches in technique. Set up sterile fields efficiently, accurately account for medications, sponges, instruments, and sharps as per policy.
• Certifications: BLS (AHA), NBSTSA.
• Submission requirements: Job is for January start date. Candidates must provide Skills Checklist current to 1 year, two Supervisory Reference Forms completed within the last two years, and active certifications as listed.
