Job Summary
Oncology Nurse, Medical Surgical Oncology Floor Location unspecified. Job Details

• Schedule: Day shifts, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Certifications & Education: Licensed Registered Nurse in North Carolina; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers; ONS certified in ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy. An ADN or ASN from an accredited school of Nursing is required; BSN or MSN preferred.
• Experience: At least 1 year of nursing experience; oncology experience and chemo/immunotherapy experience required.
• Clinical Skills: Clinical nursing care, patient care, nursing process, patient assessment, and patient education.
• Additional Skills: Research, point of care testing, discharge planning, care planning, performance improvement activities, communication systems, interdisciplinary collaboration, and care prioritization.
• Additional Information: The role involves bedside point of care testing, complex patient care, and discharge planning. Candidates must demonstrate competence in managing patients with complex needs and participate in performance improvement initiatives.
