Job Summary:
Pediatric Float Nurse, located in Iowa, is responsible for providing specialized pediatric care across various pediatric units within the healthcare organization. This role involves floating across different departments such as NICU, PICU, Hematology/Oncology, and Med Surg, requiring flexibility and a broad skill set in pediatric nursing.

Job Details:

• Position Description: Pediatric Float Nurse responsible for delivering patient care in pediatric units, including NICU, PICU, Hematology/Oncology, and Med Surg. The role involves floating across these departments as needed, with a focus on pediatric health.
• Required Qualifications: Active Iowa State license or a valid multistate compact license, BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), pediatric experience within the previous 18 months, EMR experience within the previous 12 months, and at least 12 months of pediatric nursing experience.
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric experience within the previous 18 months, EPIC electronic medical systems experience within the previous 12 months, excellent references within the last 24 months, and valid drivers license.
• Additional Information: Candidates must have pediatric nursing skills specific to the discipline, including a current Iowa license. Orientation sessions are scheduled for 11/23, 12/7, and 12/21. Floating responsibilities include ED, PICU, NICU, and pediatric oncology/hematology when needed.
