Job Summary
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) Located within the organizations healthcare facility, this position involves providing high-quality nursing care to emergency patients. The role requires assessing, planning, and implementing patient care in a fast-paced environment, emphasizing safety, efficiency, and compassionate service.

Job Details

  • Position: Emergency Room RN (Registered Nurse)
  • Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Associate degree required, bachelor degree preferred; Current Compact or Colorado RN License; BLS certification; PALS certification (NRP for Fetal Blood Center), which can be obtained at the facility if not already held; ACLS certification; Successful completion of EKG course within 4 months of hire; minimum of 1 year ER/Inpatient experience preferred; ER: TNCC Course Completion within 12 months of hire
  • Responsibilities: Administer nursing care to emergency patients using established procedures; demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles; assess patient data and interpret findings; utilize information technologies to meet patient needs; collaborate with healthcare team members; respond to patients changing condition promptly; document nursing care accurately; participate in educational activities and departmental meetings; adhere to safety and infection control standards; support non-professional staff in care delivery; assist physicians with procedures; perform patient rounds and provide progress reports; develop and revise patient care plans as needed.
  • Additional Information: The candidate must be able to communicate effectively in English, possess strong computer skills, and demonstrate excellent customer service skills. The physical demands include exerting up to 50 lbs frequently and occasional exertion of up to 100 lbs. The environment may involve exposure to infectious waste, chemicals, foul odors, and environmental factors like heat, cold, and precipitation.
