Description
Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Open Heart specialty, located in Alaska. This position involves providing supporting surgical care within a reputable acute hospital with a Level II Trauma designation and recognition as a U.S. News & World Report Best Hospital. The role requires a certified healthcare professional experienced in cardiac and thoracic procedures, working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Job Details
- Certifications and Experience Requirements: BLS, NBSTSA (National Certification Corporation for Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting), or NCCT (National Center for Competency Testing) certifications preferred; at least 1 year of operating room experience required; valid state license; candidates must be able to work the shift schedule.
- Schedule: 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week, with guaranteed hours of 70 hours per two weeks.
- Additional Job Responsibilities: Support of complex surgical procedures including cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and endovascular surgeries. Skills required include a wide array of cardiovascular and thoracic technical expertise, aseptic technique, equipment documentation, and safety procedures.
- Candidate must include responses to specific application questions regarding previous experience at Providence facilities and provide two references covering at least 1 year within the past 3 years.
- Float rotation is not required, but candidates must work within the scope of their certification and training.
- RTO (Reason To Optimize) restrictions include limited requestsonly one request per 13-week assignment, with requests to be made during submission. Must commit to working three of the five holidays.
