Description
Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse in a pediatric hospital setting. This position involves providing specialized care to high-risk neonates, including those born as early as 22 weeks gestation, with diagnoses such as respiratory distress syndrome, hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, and neonatal abstinence syndrome. The role requires delivering advanced respiratory support and managing complex medical needs within a level IV NICU.
Job Details
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts from 0700-1930 or 1900-0730, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: BLS, NRP, WA state license; minimum 2 years of NICU experience in Level III-IV neonatal intensive care; skills in respiratory support for vents, NG/OG tubes, UAC/UVC management, PICC lines, and care planning.
- Additional Information: Experience with trachs (highly preferred, not required), care for surgical patients, HIE, feeders/growers, NAS, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Candidate should have a good attitude and friendly demeanor.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Shift Details: The position involves working weekends every other week, with occasional back-to-back weekends.
