Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in Tehachapi, California. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care for emergency patients in a 25-bed hospital setting. The role includes supervising nursing staff, coordinating patient care, and working collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective treatment.
Job Details
- Position Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
- Education and Work Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN); preferred. Experience in an acute care facility is preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice; required. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor; required. Facility specific certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; required. Department-specific certifications include AHA-Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), AHA-Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and AHA-Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); all required.
- Responsibilities: Collects relevant data pertinent to patient health, analyzes assessment data, develops and implements care plans, evaluates progress, collaborates with patients and healthcare team, and participates in discharge planning. Delegates and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting between 11 am and 3 pm.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must be eligible to start on 10/26/2026 and be available through 01/24/2027.
