Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse - location not specified. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care in a busy emergency department that handles a variety of critical cases including stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. The role requires flexibility to float across units and work various patient populations, including newborns to geriatric patients.

Job Details

• Position Description: ER RN in an emergency department with 64 beds, including triage, acute, super track, trauma, clinical decision unit, and psychiatric units.
• Shift: Nights, from 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Active NY nursing license, current American Heart Association (AHA) certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC). Up-to-date NURSYS license verification, current drivers license matching demographics, and experience documented with an updated resume including at least 2 years of emergency department experience, with some pediatric experience. Travel experience is required. EMR experience with EPIC is necessary.
• Additional Information: Must live 75 miles away from the facility for travel assignment or be local for a reduced rate. Flexibility to float across different units is required. Scrub color is navy blue. Candidates should be prepared to care for patients with diagnoses such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure, and to administer drips and medications including pressors, vasodilators, anti-arrhythmics, sedatives, TNC, heparin, and insulin.
