Job Summary
ORT (Operating Room Technician) Surgical Technician/Operating Room Tech Tillamook, Oregon. This position involves facilitating physicians performance of invasive, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures within a critical access medical center. The role includes handling instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during surgical procedures, ensuring quality patient care, and maintaining the sterile field throughout operations.

Job Details

• Location Requirements: Tillamook, Oregon
• Schedule: Rotating shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Associate Degree or Certificate of Program Completion in Surgical Technology; National Board of Surgical Technologists or Association of Surgical Technologists certification; CPR or BLS certification from an approved vendor (preferred)
• Preferred Qualifications: Relevant acute care experience; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred)
• Performs procedures including verifying patient consent, passing instruments to the surgeon, anticipating surgeons needs, and maintaining sterile technique
• Prepares sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment, ensures proper counting with the circulator, and assists with room turnover and cleaning
• Assists in prepping the operating room for subsequent patients and performs other duties as assigned
