Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse position available in a hospital setting. This role involves providing holistic, individualized maternity care for patients on the obstetrics unit, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-operative gynecology patients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate clinical competency, nursing judgment, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Position Description: Independently provides care using the nursing process for patients routinely seen on the OB unit. Demonstrates clinical skills, judgment, teaching ability, and teamwork. Performs general and unit-specific clinical skills and functions as a registered nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care under supervision. Ensures adherence to all Standards of Nursing Practice, manages supplies and equipment, and collaborates with physicians and hospital personnel. Maintains confidentiality and supports organizational mission, vision, and values.
• Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; current BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Certificate, STABLE; must be vaccinated for COVID-19 per state mandate; minimum of 1 year of acute care experience as a registered nurse; effective communication skills, written and oral; computer skills; shift schedule: rotating, 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in labor and delivery nursing; familiarity with electronic fetal monitoring (EFM); ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
