Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Nurse, located in the healthcare organization, is responsible for providing specialized care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum. This position requires a knowledgeable and compassionate professional to support patients through childbirth, ensuring safety and comfort throughout the process.
Job Details
- Position Description: Responsible for caring for patients in the Labor and Delivery department, including postpartum and neonatal care, adhering to hospital protocols and safety standards.
- Required Qualifications: Valid state license, at least 1 year of experience in adult critical care, emergency department, or Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), and certifications including BLS, NRP, PALS, and ACLS.
- Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Candidates should have experience with airway management devices and suctioning, intubation assistance, and ventilator management, including BiPAP, CPAP, and troubleshooting alarms. Knowledge of ABG interpretation, basic EKG, and familiarity with Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is required.
- Submission Requirements: Please confirm if you have previously worked at a healthcare organization as a perm employee, travel contractor, or registry/per-diem, including location and dates. Provide 2 references covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years, prior to start.
