Job Summary
The ORT (Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician) is based in the healthcare organizations operating room team. The role involves supporting various surgical procedures within a community hospital setting, primarily focusing on orthopedic, spine, vascular, ENT, and general surgeries. This position requires proficiency in scrub and circulating duties, with a focus on safe patient care and team collaboration.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: BLS certification, at least 1 year of experience in orthopedic, spine, vascular, ENT, or general surgeries, with experience in adult and geriatric patient populations, and current state licensure.
  • Preferred Qualifications: ACLS certification preferred.
  • Responsibilities: Provide circulating and scrubbing support for surgeries including ENT, general surgery, total joints, neuro/spine, OB/GYN, orthopedics, plastics, and post-operative/pre-operative procedures. Must have experience with aseptic technique, specimen handling, sterilization, and various surgical procedures such as arthroscopy, total knee and hip replacements, gynecologic robotic surgery, and others.
  • Additional Requirements: Ability to scrub proficiently, with experience in orthopedic and spine surgeries preferred. No neuro, thoracic, or robotics experience required.
  • Schedule Details: 8-hour shifts, days, starting on 10/19/2026, ending on 01/18/2027.
  • Submission Requirements: Must include response to whether the candidate has worked at a Providence facility previously, and two references covering the past 1 year within last 3 years.
  • Additional Notes: Candidates should not contact the facility directly unless for an approved interview. The role involves working some holidays and may require floating between nearby facilities.
