Job Summary
Operating Room (First Assistant) Location: Not specified. This position involves providing specialized surgical assistance in various procedures including robotics, bariatric, general, colorectal, orthopedic/spinal, vascular, urology, and gynecology. The role requires proficiency in scrub and circulating duties, with a focus on supporting a busy surgical unit.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education, and Experience: BLS certification; 0 years of experience required; valid state license with a compact license preferred; minimum one year of scrub and circulating experience as an RN in the operating room.
- Schedule: Day shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum 40 hours per week.
- Responsibilities: Assist in surgical procedures across multiple specialties, ensure proper preparation of the operating area, and maintain sterile techniques.
- Additional Requirements: Candidates must be proficient in robotics, bariatric, general, colorectal, orthopedic/spinal, vascular, urology, and gynecology surgeries.
- Special Procedures: Participation in kidney call rotation during evenings, weekends, and holidays, with specific scheduled hours.
- Credentials: Must include two references covering at least one year during the compliance process, with specific experience and licensing documentation.
- Other Notes: Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities; refusal to float may impact employment. A response is required regarding previous employment at a similar facility.
