Description

Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) RN position in a healthcare facility. This assignment involves working in a central pool ICU with responsibilities including managing multiple titrating drips, critical vent care, and starting IVs. The role requires flexibility with scheduling, including working 2 out of 4 major holidays, and is based on a 12-hour night shift.

Job Details

  • Position Description: Assignment for 16-26 weeks. Rates are tiered based on mileagemeasured by direct line as opposed to driving distance. Travelers must work 2 out of the 4 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Years Day.
  • Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
  • Schedule: 12-hour night shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: RN license with a minimum of 2 years of experience, AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS). Prior travel experience and large teaching hospital experience required. EPIC electronic medical records experience within the past 2 years is mandatory.
  • Additional Qualifications: Must be flexible with scheduling and float requirements. Experience with multi-system disease, CRRT, IAPB, ECMO, COVID, vents, and multiple drips is necessary. Knowledge of hemodynamic devices and patient populations such as post-cardiac surgery, vascular, trauma, neurosurgery, and overflow medical ICU patients is preferred.
  • Responsibilities: Manage multiorgan patients, including critical vent care, titratable drips, starting IVs, and patient monitoring. Float to units like SICU, Miller 3, and Miller 4 as needed.
