Job Summary
Operating Room Pediatrics (OR PEDS) in a treatment and inpatient care setting. This role involves providing specialized patient care for pediatric patients within the operating room environment, adhering to organizational standards and demonstrating safe practice. The position requires collaboration with an inter-professional healthcare team to support quality, family-centered, and evidence-based care.

Job Details

  • Position Description: The Clinical Nurse II is an RN practicing as a full partner on the healthcare team, demonstrating safe and competent nursing care in accordance with organizational standards. The nurse independently provides care through application of the nursing process and is accountable for assigned patients across pediatric to adult age groups.
  • Required Qualifications: BSN degree, Current California RN License, Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Three years of operating room circulating experience, Minimum of one year of recent travel assignment experience, Proficiency with clinical equipment, computers, and technology, understanding of resource management in direct patient care.
  • Schedule: Rotating shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Additional Information: The role focuses on patient and family-centered care, including advanced care planning, safety, evidence-based practice, and system improvement. The nurse will evaluate current practices and participate in clinical inquiry, safety analysis, and system improvements related to pediatric perioperative care.
