Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS Telemetry) nurse position is available in a healthcare facility located within the specified region. This role involves providing care for patients with various conditions including congestive heart failure, hypertension, chest pain work-ups, COPD exacerbations, asthma, pneumonia, pancreatitis, bowel obstructions, gastrointestinal bleeding, and acute renal failure. The position requires familiarity with cardiac drips and post-catheterization patient care, with self-scheduling flexibility and a focus on delivering high-quality patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support); minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Specialty: Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS Tele).
- Shift Hours: 12 hours.
- Start Date: 10/26/2026.
- End Date: 01/25/2027.
- Unit Notes: Candidate interview process includes an interview with the MedSol Clinical Team. Candidates must submit a valid driver's license during the week of orientation, which is conducted in-state. Clinicians are expected to be present in the state for the week of orientation, even if some modules are remote.
- Responsibilities: Manage patients with congestive heart failure, hypertension, chest pain, COPD, asthma, pneumonia, pancreatitis, bowel obstructions, gastrointestinal bleeding, and acute renal failure. Experience with cardiac drips and post-catheterization patient care is required.
- Certifications & Licensing: Valid license to submit required.
- Additional Information: The unit includes a float pool for MS and Telemetry patients. Approximately 10-12 nurse aides are present on the unit. Telemetry involves 24/7 strip reading and monitoring by techs. The RN is responsible for co-signing strips and titrating titratable drips including analgesics, anticoagulants, and antihypertensives. Full and part-time staff are expected to self-schedule a minimum of six weekend shifts per six-week period.
