Description
Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in the emergency department at a healthcare facility. This position involves providing critical patient care in a fast-paced environment, focusing on trauma, stroke care, and various emergency procedures. The role requires adherence to established clinical protocols and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education, and Experience: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications are required. Must have an active license at submission. At least 2 years of hospital setting experience is required. No minimum years of experience specified for this role.
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Responsibilities: Competency in U/S IV skills, Lucas Device, Hotline Rapid Infuser, Alaris pumps, Pyxis EMR Sunrise/Allscripts. Ability to perform procedures such as trauma and stroke care, laceration repair, orthopedic trauma, and more. Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills are essential.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EKG interpretation, at least one year of ER experience for HCA hired staff, and familiarity with protocols based on chief complaints.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Submission Requirement: Candidates must hold all required certifications and an active license at submission.
