Job Summary
Medical Surgical (MS) Nurse in an acute care setting located within a healthcare facility. This role involves providing high-quality patient care to individuals with various conditions, including congestive heart failure, hypertension, chest pain, COPD exacerbations, asthma, pneumonia, pancreatitis, bowel obstructions, gastrointestinal bleeding, and acute renal failure. The position is scheduled for dayshift, with a duration of approximately three months starting October 26, 2026.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association, a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a Medical Surgical setting, and NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification.
• Responsibilities: Managing and titrating set rate drips such as analgesics, anticoagulants, and antihypertensives; reading telemonitor strips; providing patient education and care across a variety of acute conditions.
• Additional Information: Self-scheduling and block scheduling options available. Full and part-time employees are expected to work a minimum of six weekend shifts within a six-week schedule. Holiday shifts are required. Floating within Zone 1 may be necessary based on department needs. Charting is performed in EPIC.
• Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA) are required.
• License to Submit: Yes.
