Job Summary
Emergency Room Nurse, ER, (Location) This position involves providing critical care in a fast-paced emergency setting, handling a diverse patient population with urgent and emergent conditions. The role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, timely care.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale); minimum of 2 years of ER experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Not specified.
• Responsibilities include managing patients with diagnoses such as abdominal pain, chest pain, fever, cough, dyspnea, headache, injury, and extremity pain; performing or assisting with lab draws; troubleshooting ventilator, C pap, bi pap, and high flow systems; and reading telemetry strips if required.
• The charge nurse may also take assignments, and DVWs on a self-scheduling and block scheduling basis.
• Shifts are within the night schedule, with mandatory self-scheduling of at least six weekend shifts per six-week cycle.
• Additional operational details: The ER treats over 45 patients daily, has a dedicated triage area, and operates with in-house security 24/7. RN responsibilities include troubleshooting ventilator and monitor strip readings.
