Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse in the location specified. This position involves providing patient care on a Medical/Surgical unit, managing a variety of common diagnoses such as congestive heart failure, hypertension, chest pain work-ups, COPD exacerbations, asthma, pneumonia, pancreatitis, bowel obstructions, gastrointestinal bleeding, and acute renal failure. The role requires adherence to unit protocols and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Shift: Nights Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS; minimum experience of 2 years in a related setting; valid license to practice; ability to read telemetry strips; candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with titrating drips such as analgesics, anticoagulants, or antihypertensives; familiarity with telemonitoring equipment like Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, vents; ability to self-schedule and work independently; minimum of 6 weekend shifts every six weeks; comprehensive understanding of common patient diagnoses listed above.
• Responsibilities: Provide bedside care to adult patients with various acute and chronic conditions; monitor and interpret telemetry strips; titrate medications and drips as ordered; collaborate with healthcare team members; participate in unit orientation and ongoing training; ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety protocols.
• Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS must be current and valid.
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must be licensed to practice and able to submit license documentation as part of the application process.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
