Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) RN Location: unspecified. This role involves float responsibilities between units at a short-term acute care facility. The ICU RN will provide specialized critical care to adult and geriatric patients, adhering to the organizations standards and protocols.

Job Details

  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, OCNS
  • Education Requirements: Valid state license (compact license must be in hand at submission)
  • Experience Requirement: Minimum of 1 year ICU experience; at least 1 year required
  • Location Requirements: Within 50 miles of the facility's location
  • Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Shift Duration: 12 hours
  • Schedule: Self-scheduled with a minimum of 6 weekend shifts every 6 weeks; working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day) required.
  • Responsibilities include managing patients with endocrine, respiratory, renal disorders, stroke, sepsis, MODS, post-cardiac arrest, and specialized procedures such as CRRT, ECMO, and ventilator management.
  • Additional job requirements: Will float between sister ICUs (SICU, CICU, NSICU), with potential for patient ratios to be 1:2/1:3 depending on unit needs.
  • Candidates are required to include responses to specific submittal questions, including previous work at a Providence facility and references covering the last 3 years, with at least 6 months for CNAs.
