Job Summary
ORT (Operating Room Technician) Surgical Technician in en_US This role involves supporting surgical procedures within a busy Level 3 trauma hospital setting. The technician will assist in a variety of surgical cases including general surgery, gynecology, urology, and laparoscopic procedures, ensuring proper sterile technique and efficient operating room operations.

Job Details

Position Description: The Surgical Technician will assist with surgical cases in a Level 3 trauma environment, supporting both inpatient and outpatient procedures. The role requires scrubbing on various surgeries, following proper sterile protocols, and working closely with the surgical team.
Required Qualifications: BLS Certification; Washington state license; do not require national certification; 2 years of related experience; en_US no experience minimum specified.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 10-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Shift hours are from 6:30 am to 5:00 pm, with weekday, weekend, and possible holiday call responsibilities. Call response time is 30 minutes.
Additional Information: The position involves call shifts starting at 9:00 pm and ending at 6:30 am, with 5-6 call days for techs. Call coverage includes after-hours on-call hours for surgeons, and there is a rotation for holiday coverage. Tele/Surgeon on-call hours occur after hours, and pharmacy services are available 24/7. Floating between CVOR and Main OR may be required, depending on experience. Orientation period is one week focusing on floor-specific procedures. Scrubbing is required for all cases, including general, bowel resection, robotic surgeries, gynecology, urology, TURP, cystoscopy, lithotripsy, dental, bariatrics, and plastics.
