Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS Tele) nurse position is available in a healthcare facility located within 60 miles. This role involves providing specialized care to patients with conditions such as congestive heart failure, hypertension, chest pain, COPD exacerbations, gastrointestinal issues, and renal failure, requiring the management of cardiac drips and post-catheterization care.

Job Details

• Position Description: Unit includes MS and Telemetry units, with a focus on cardiac patients. Candidate will participate in a hiring process that involves an interview with the MedSol Clinical Team. The unit has a patient ratio of 1:4 during day shifts and 1:5 during night shifts, with approximately 10-12 nurse aides on duty.
• Required Qualifications: Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association, minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar setting, and possession of a nursing license suitable for the state.
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Clinicians are expected to be in state for the week of orientation, which is scheduled during the first week of the assignment.
• Additional Information: The position requires familiarity with cardiac drips, post-cath lab care, and monitoring through Telemetry. Self-scheduling and block scheduling are permitted, with a minimum of six weekend shifts per six-week schedule. Candidates may be asked to float within various units based on demand, including ICU, PCU/Stepdown, and MS Telemetry. The orientation and assignment details will be discussed during the onboarding process, with shifts subject to cancellation as needed.
