Job Summary
L & D Nurse, Labor and Delivery Department, New York This position involves providing specialized nursing care in a Level 1 Perinatal Center. The role requires working with antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecological non-obstetrical patients, supporting labor and delivery, postpartum, and nursery duties.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: NYS license (or proof of application with application date visible), BLS, NRP, and EPIC experience within the past 24 months. 2 years experience in labor and delivery is required.
- Preferred Qualifications: STABLE and ACLS certifications are preferred.
- Additional Information:
Assignment duration: 16-26 weeks
No block schedules
Bi-weekly orientations on Mondays
Reliable transportation is strongly recommended due to limited public transit options
Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during November through April
Must ensure all employment gaps over 90 days are explained
Complete employment history, including bed count, EMR, and facility type, is required for submission
