Job Summary
Pediatric Emergency Room (ER PEDS) Nurse Location: Oakland. This role involves providing specialized care in a pediatric emergency setting, supporting neonates, adolescents, infants, and children during their most critical moments. The position requires adaptability to float to other UCSF facilities and excellent clinical skills.

Job Details

  • Position Description: Pediatric Emergency Room (ER PEDS) Nurse at the healthcare provider.
  • Certifications: CA RN License, AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • Experience & Education Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency care, specifically in General and Pediatric Emergency Departments. BSN degree required.
  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric trauma experience, certifications in Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse (CPEN), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and Pediatric Trauma Experience are highly preferred.
  • Additional Information: Ability to float to other UCSF facilities, experience with Epic electronic charting system, demonstration of skills in airway management, trauma care, paramedic procedures, infection control, and pediatric life support are essential.
  • Submission Requirements: Candidates must meet all certification and licensing requirements and reference previous pediatric trauma and emergency care experience.
