Job Summary
Medical Surgical (MS) Rehabilitation Nurse in Madison, Wisconsin. This role involves providing care for adult patients requiring inpatient rehabilitative services at a specialized rehabilitation hospital. The nurse will support high-acuity cases and collaborate with the healthcare team to help patients achieve their highest recovery potential.
Job Details
- Position Description: Provides inpatient nursing care in a 50-bed acute rehabilitation facility specializing in stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic injuries. The environment functions similarly to a medical surgical unit with high patient acuity requiring a versatile nursing approach.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; BLS certification; 1+ year of nursing experience in skilled nursing or similar 24/7 skilled care environment; located within a reasonable distance to the facility.
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Nurses are expected to assist C.N.As and respond to call lights to ensure patient safety. Flexibility may be required in floating to satellite facilities within 20 minutes in the future. Orientation begins October 20, 2026, with subsequent sessions through December 1, 2026.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must be available to start on November 17, 2026, and work through February 16, 2027.
