Job Summary
Operating Room Nurse (OR) Location: Not Specified. This role involves providing comprehensive perioperative care in a busy surgical environment. The RN will assess, participate in care planning, and deliver patient care across various surgical specialties, ensuring optimal outcomes through professional communication and documentation.

Job Details

  • Position Description: The OR RN is responsible for meeting patient needs by assessing, participating in interdisciplinary care planning, and delegating tasks as appropriate. Contributes to an efficient work environment through professional communication, documentation, precepting, and resource management.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid NE (Nurse licensure compact) or RN license active and in good standing; BLS American Heart Association or ARC; Minimum of 2 years of OR experience; Strong skills in general, orthopedic, ENT (including pediatric), vascular, gynecology, robotics (including da Vinci), dental, and plastics surgeries.
  • Schedule: Typically 10-hour day shifts with one call block every two weeks. Some Saturdays may be required. Floating to other units or departments may occur.
  • Additional Information: The surgical unit is high-volume, primarily performing general surgery cases. The team operates with a high case rate, requiring experienced and adaptable staff. The hospital provides OR scrubs.
  • Submission Requirements: The candidate's presentation checklist must be included in the presentation packet. A Mask Fit Test including make, model, and size is required if applicable. Disclose if the candidate has worked for the organization in the last 12 months.
