Job Summary
An Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) RN is needed in a healthcare facility setting. This position involves caring for open-heart surgery patients including those with CABG, valve replacements, aortic dissections, VAD insertion, and heart or lung transplants. The role requires providing specialized ICU care for patients requiring mechanical circulatory support, including ECMO support.
Job Details
- Position: ICU OH Nurse Cardiovascular Specialty in a healthcare facility
- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Start Date: 11/09/2026
- End Date: 02/06/2027
- Required Qualifications: BLS, ACLS certification; ICU experience (minimum 1 year preferred); valid licensure; experience with VAD support and Swanz management.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours, 36 hours per week
- Additional Information:
- Unit cares for patients recovering from open-heart surgeries, including CABG, valve repairs/replacements, aortic dissections, VAD insertions, heart and lung transplants.
- Patient ratios of 1:1-2.
- Support team includes CVICU providers, PCA/CNA, Receptionist/HUC, PT/OT.
- Utilizes Cerner EMR, Plum ICU medical IV pumps, Phillips monitors, Stryker beds, bladder scanner, handheld ultrasounds.
- Floating to other ICUs may occur periodically with short notice.
- Orientation includes 3 shifts on the unit, with facility-specific training.
