Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in Los Angeles. This position involves delivering coordinated nursing care for patients within the emergency department, adhering to established standards of care and utilizing the nursing process. The role includes supervising and directing nursing staff, collaborating with other healthcare disciplines, and ensuring patient safety and effective treatment.
Job Details
- Position Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to standards of care and nursing process; supervises nursing staff activities; coordinates with multidisciplinary teams; utilizes critical thinking and professional judgment.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN); Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from approved vendor; National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale certification; minimum of 2 years of ER experience.
- Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Collects relevant patient health data, analyzes assessment data, develops and implements care plans, evaluates progress, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, provides patient education, participates in discharge planning, delegates duties appropriately, and performs other duties as assigned.
