Intensive Care Unit Medical (ICU MEDICAL) in Plano, TX. This position involves providing specialized care to critically ill patients within a high-acuity ICU setting. The role requires working on a 12-hour shift schedule, with assignments beginning on October 13, 2026, and concluding on November 24, 2026.

Job Details

• Position Description:
  The role involves delivering advanced nursing care within a dedicated ICU unit, performing procedures such as central line insertions, arterial line insertions, bedside trachs, thoracotomies, and chest tube insertions. The unit features a 36-bed CCU and a 30-bed Burn Trauma ICU, with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 2:1.
• Certifications: Valid active RN license (temporary licenses will not be accepted). BLS and ACLS certifications required in submission packet.
• Experience: 2+ years of hospital experience and 2+ years of specialty ICU experience preferred.
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, working days. Minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Additional information:
  • Prior experience with MEDITECH electronic documentation system is preferred.
  • Required procedures on the unit include central line insertions, arterial line insertions, bedside trachs, thoracotomies, and chest tube insertions.
  • Dress code requires royal blue scrubs for RNs, and strict policies are in place regarding grooming, tattoos, piercings, and attire.
