Job Summary
Operating Room Advanced Heart (OR OH) Specialist in Baltimore, MD. This position involves providing perioperative nursing care in a cardiac operating room setting, supporting complex open-heart procedures. The role requires collaborative teamwork and adherence to safety and clinical standards to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Current RN licensure, 3+ years of Operating Room experience, current Cardiac Operating Room experience, BLS certification, and proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system.
- Schedule: Two shift options available a 40-hour week with four 10-hour shifts from 11:00 am to 9:30 pm, or a 36-hour week with three 12-hour shifts, rotating start times from 6:30 am to 9:00 am, with a rotating day off.
- Additional Responsibilities: Circulates and scrubs during cardiac surgeries, supporting EPIC roles and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Will participate in on-call rotations, with six call periods per six-week schedule, covering weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must be able to clear the onboarding process by the Thursday prior to the start date.
- Clinician Experience: Minimum of 0 years of experience required.
- Special Notes: Previous employment with any Johns Hopkins facility must be disclosed and verified prior to offer. No block scheduling; shifts and days off are based on unit needs and rotation.
