Job Summary
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide critical care for neonates requiring advanced medical and surgical interventions. Located in a comprehensive pediatric medical and surgical center, the position involves delivering patient-centered care within a specialized Level IV NICU environment, supporting high-acuity neonates and their families throughout their hospital stay.
Job Details
- Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Location: In a dedicated pediatric hospital used for specialized neonatal care
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week; 8/12 hour shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, working 2-3 weekends per 6-week cycle
- Required Qualifications: Active RN license, BLS, NRP certifications, minimum of 2 years of recent acute care RN experience with at least 1 full year in a Level IV NICU, NICU Experience, Epic charting experience
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with post-operative patients, G-tubes, tracheostomies, ventilators, and invasive/noninvasive ventilation modes
- Additional Responsibilities: Provide critical care for neonates including ventilator management, invasive procedures, medication administration, family education, and participating in interProfessional team care
- Float: Float rotation to other units serving patients less than 12 months of age and all units including Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
- Certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS*
- Submittal Requirements: Successful completion of pass/fail telemetry interpretation examinations; references required but not included in the submission
