Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing specialized perioperative nursing care within the surgical unit. The role focuses on supporting a variety of complex procedures, including vascular, neuro/neurohybrid, thoracic, robotics, transplant, and general surgeries, among others. The RN will work closely with surgical teams to ensure high-quality patient care and safety throughout each procedure.
Job Details
- Position Description: The OR RN is responsible for circulating and scrub duties during surgical procedures, adhering to sterile techniques, and managing patient care before, during, and after surgeries.
- Required Qualifications: BLS certification; RN license; minimum 2 years of operating room experience; clinical skills including Foley catheter management, chest tube handling, and AED use; proficiency in supporting vascular, neuro/neurohybrid, thoracic, robotics, transplant, general, orthopedic, hand, spine, podiatry, gynecology, carotid, and endarterectomy surgeries.
- Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, scheduled in 6-week cycles.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with robotics, particularly the Davinci D5 robotic system, is preferred but not required.
- Additional Information: The position includes weekend rotation based on unit needs, on-call responsibilities with a 40-minute response time, and holiday shifts as per operational requirements. Orientation includes a full one-week or specified unit orientation, with shift times of 0630-1900, 0630-1700, or 1030-2300.
