Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing critical emergency care in an acute care hospital setting. The role requires responding to trauma and emergency cases, including adult and pediatric patients, with a focus on maintaining high standards of emergency nursing practice.

Job Details:

  • Position Description: Emergency Room Nurse with responsibilities including arterial line management, care of ventilated patients, blood product administration, and management of trauma and critical cases. The role may require floating to pediatric and other emergency units.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid state license with a compact license accepted at submission; Certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS. Minimum of 1 year of ER experience; preferred experience in trauma, pediatric emergency, and ICU settings.
  • Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS.
  • Additional Requirements: Candidates must have at least 1 year of ER experience, current certifications, and a valid license.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with trauma centers (Level I or II), pediatric emergency nursing, and familiarity with Epic charting system.
  • Patient Care: Care for Neonates, Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics, with a daily census of approximately 185 patients and 180 visits per day.
  • Unit Details: The role involves working in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Floating to support unit needs is expected, including support in pediatric emergency cases.
  • Submission Requirements: Candidates must respond to previous employment at Providence facilities and provide two references covering 1 year within the last 3 years.
