Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in the healthcare provider setting. This role involves providing high-quality perioperative nursing care for a variety of surgical cases, including general, urology, OB-GYN, orthopedic, and endoscopy procedures. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic OR environment with a busy case volume and collaborative team.

Job Details

  • Position Description: Provide perioperative nursing care for adult patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures including general, urology, OB-GYN, orthopedic, and endoscopy cases. The role involves circulating and assisting with patient care during surgery, room turnover, and patient recovery.
  • Required Qualifications: RN license, BLS certification, ACLS certification, at least 3 years of operating room nursing experience, Cerner or EPIC electronic medical record system experience, and willing to float to inpatient areas if needed.
  • Schedule: 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Weekday call shifts typically 1-2 per week, and weekend on-call approximately every 4th or 5th weekend. Response time for call is 20 minutes.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with case types listed, scrub experience preferred but not required, and willingness to be trained on specific case types such as total joints, podiatry, and endoscopy.
  • Additional Information: Orientation includes one week of training with a call buddy. The team comprises supervisor, CRNAs, anesthesiologist, anesthesia tech, resource nurses, OR educator, RT, hospitalist, and phlebotomy. The facility utilizes Cerner or EPIC EMR systems and supplies Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensers. Parking is free.
