Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in a trauma level STEMI receiving stroke center setting. This position involves providing acute care to a diverse patient population with conditions such as chest pain, respiratory issues, dehydration, orthopedic injuries, stroke, lacerations, and gastrointestinal concerns. The role requires self-direction and the ability to manage patients independently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. The assignment starts on 11/02/2026 and concludes on 02/01/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Valid licenses to practice; certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). Two years of experience in emergency nursing is preferred, though not explicitly required.
• Additional Information: The ER handles approximately 25 patients daily with a nurse-patient ratio of 1:4. The unit features no separate triage area; patients are triaged by travelers. The ER manages Point of Care Lab functions and uses EPIC for charting. Flexibility to float to sister facilities as needed is required. Self-scheduling is permitted, with shifts rotated to ensure coverage. The role involves working during major holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
