Description
Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in an acute care hospital setting, with a 12-hour day shift schedule. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care to a diverse patient population in a dynamic environment. The role requires clinical expertise and the ability to adapt to fast-paced situations to support patient needs effectively.
Job Details:
- Certifications, Education, and Experience: Valid ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC certifications are required. Minimum of 2 years of ER experience.
- Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Responsibilities: Deliver emergency care to neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Support interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, and pharmacy.
- Additional Requirements: Ability to work with a patient census of around 87, with a ratio of 4 patients per nurse during day shifts.
- Travel and Certification: Travel experience not explicitly required; candidates must hold or be eligible for a valid state license with a compact license accepted.
- Other Notes: Must work 3 of the 5 designated holidays and include all scheduling requests, including RTO, upfront during submission. Previous experience at a Providence facility is a plus. No direct contact with facility contacts unless through the appropriate channels.
